Auf dass die Herzen lustig im Takt mithüpfen
Beim Mandolinenkonzert in Bergisch Neukirchen tanzten die Putten. VON ULLA JONEN Es war ein freudvolles, ein heiteres Konzert. Mandolinen lockten die Sonne ins Gotteshaus mit seinem verspielten barocken Altar. Und die Putten schienen zu tanzen. Nein, Sauertöpfe hatten am Sonntagnachmittag in der evangelischen Kirche in Bergisch Neukirchen keine Chance, so beschwingt spielte das Mandolinen-Orchester Bayer Leverkusen bei seinem Weihnachtskonzert „Jubilate” auf Es wurde jubiliert, es wurde gejauchzt ob der kommenden Geburt Christi – eine Stunde lang und allen voran Orchesterleiter Detlef Tewes. Der führte seine Zupfer so ganz und gar lustvoll und leicht durch Werke von dall' Abaco, Vivaldi, Mozart und Bach, dass die Zuhörerherzen hüpften. Wo ist die Anstrengung geblieben, wo die Disziplin, die gewiss nötig ist, will man den alten Meistern musikalische Hochachtung zollen? Sie schien wie weggeweht. Wenn dann noch Julia Hoppe in die Saiten griff und den Ton angab, dann war man angekommen in der so freudvollen Vorweihnachtszeit. Feinsinnig begleiteten die Musiker die junge Frau, die schon so viele Erfolge mit ihrer Mandoline feiern konnte. Was sie dem hölzernen Bauch entlockte, das sorgte für anerkennende Stille bei den rund 200 Besuchern. Wunderbar intonierten die Akteure das Concerto in D-Dur von Antonio Vivaldi, das Tewes stilgerecht für Mandolinen-Ensembles zurecht gezupft hatte. Mal frisch und flink, mal zutiefst melancholisch, mal erhaben: Das Mandolinen-Orchester fühlte sich innigst in die Stimmungen ein und vermochte sie virtuos darzustellen. Mit einem Traditional, das bekannte Weihnachtslieder aufgriff, und das auch von den beiden Flötisten Doris Kanschik und Johannes Burbach gestaltet wurde, sollte das Konzert eigentlich enden. Aber die Menschen wollten mehr. Und Tewes wusste auch genau, was sie wollten: die „Petersburger Schlittenfahrt“ Jetzt wiegten sich die Zuhörer im Rhythmus, klatschten und gaben den Takt mit den Füßen an, ganz zu Freude der Musiker. Sehr schön war, dass das Ensemble die Besucher zum Schluss einlud, Weihnachtslieder zu singen und damit zeigte, dass zwischen großem musikalischen Können und einen bisschen Volkstümlichkeit überhaupt kein Widerspruch besteht – ist die Freude nur groß genug.
